2. The Contract
A binding contract is formed when we send you a written booking confirmation by email. Before that point, we reserve the right to decline any booking request without giving a reason.
These terms, together with our booking confirmation and any additional session information provided, form the entire agreement between you and us for your booking.
If you are making a booking on behalf of a group, you are responsible for ensuring that all participants are aware of and comply with these terms, our health and safety guidance, and the rules of the session.
3. Booking Process
To make a booking you must:
· Be aged 16 or over.
· Provide accurate personal and payment details.
· Read and accept our health and safety guidance and booking waiver.
· Pay the full booking fee (or deposit, where applicable) at the time of booking.
Bookings are subject to availability. Your place is only confirmed once full payment or a deposit has been received and you have received a booking confirmation from us.
4. Price and Payment
All prices are as stated on our website at the time of booking. Prices include VAT where applicable.
Payment is taken in full at the time of booking unless a deposit arrangement has been agreed for private hire or group bookings. We accept payment via Stripe (card online) or Square (card in person). We do not accept cash for advance bookings.
We reserve the right to correct any pricing errors on our website before accepting a booking. If a pricing error is identified after your booking has been confirmed, we will contact you to give you the option to proceed at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
5. Age Requirements
All participants must be aged 16 or over. Proof of age may be requested on arrival. We reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone who cannot demonstrate they meet the minimum age requirement. No refund will be given in such circumstances.
Participants aged 16 or 17 must be accompanied at all times by a responsible adult aged 18 or over who has also booked and paid for the session.
6. Health, Safety, and Suitability
6.1 Health Declaration
By completing a booking, you confirm that you have read our health and safety guidance and that none of the contraindicated conditions listed in that guidance apply to you, or that you have obtained appropriate medical advice and been cleared to use the sauna.
You must not attend a session if you are suffering from any condition that makes sauna use inadvisable, as set out in our booking waiver. BYRE staff and operators are not medically trained and cannot assess your individual health suitability.
6.2 Contraindicated Conditions
Do not book or attend a session if any of the following apply to you:
· Cardiovascular conditions, including heart disease, history of heart attack, uncontrolled high or low blood pressure, or irregular heartbeat.
· Respiratory conditions that may be aggravated by heat or smoke.
· Epilepsy or seizure disorders.
· Pregnancy.
· Diabetes requiring medication.
· Kidney disease or conditions affecting temperature regulation.
· Multiple sclerosis or other conditions affecting your ability to regulate body temperature.
· Current fever, acute infection, open wounds, recent surgery, or severe sunburn.
· Consumption of alcohol or recreational drugs within the last 4 hours.
· Medication that warns against heat exposure, causes drowsiness, or impairs thermoregulation.
If you are unsure whether any health condition makes sauna use unsuitable for you, consult your GP before booking.
6.3 Session Safety Rules
During your session you must:
· Follow all instructions given by the site operator.
· Exit the sauna immediately if you feel unwell, dizzy, or overheated.
· Limit your time inside to sensible intervals and cool down gradually between rounds.
· Stay hydrated before and after your session.
· Not use the sauna alone.
· Not bring glass, alcohol, food, or electronic devices into the sauna cabin.
· Not add water to the stove or adjust any equipment without the operator's explicit permission.
· Not touch the stove or its surrounds — all surfaces are extremely hot.
· Inform the operator immediately if you or anyone in your group feels unwell.
6.4 Conduct
We reserve the right to exclude from a session, without refund, any participant whose behaviour is disruptive, aggressive, endangers others, or breaches these terms. This includes arriving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
